It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the launch of our blog. The media, as the fourth arm of government, is known to serve as a watchdog through the active dissemination of unbiased information that helps sensitize the public and prioritize collective contribution through engagements and thought-provoking discussions. Whether traditional or digital, it is a powerful tool that has the ability to influence public opinion and shape cultural norms.
According to Anthony Blinken, the United States Secretary of State,
Information and knowledge are powerful tools. A free and independent press is the core institution connecting the public to the information they need to advocate for themselves, make informed decisions, and hold governmental officials accountable.
These values of the media are reflected in our conception of the need for a well structured online presence that can aid our information dissemination patterns and enable us to meet the reputable standard of journalism in an age where every sector is influenced by technology.
For a fact, public information has been quite stunted in the past and to a bearable extent in the present due to the limitations placed on where the information gets to, and from experience, ignorance doesn’t bode well for persons often times. Conversely, it is believed that a man equipped and armed with the knowledge of the right information seems to have everything. Therefore, with the launch of this blog, Legal Kekenke seeks to allay these problems by providing easy access to information, contents, ideas, innovations, and several happenings from anywhere in the world.
The blog is designed to act as a pictorial representation of the standard of our media organization, as a voice, as a bond between us and the audience in the Faculty of Law and the whole students' campus of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, and to all persons irrespective of location.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE BLOG?
- New incentives that prioritize interactions and good reading, audio and video experiences through the creation of diverse but appealing categories that include LK Courier (which features publication of works solicited from writers in different genres such as articles, poetry, reviews, etc.), Persona Dignor of dignified personalities, Legal Kekenke Weekly Brief, Interview Sessions and Videos, Podcasts, News (Entertainment, Sports, Events, Campus News), History and Facts, Opportunities (sharing of internships, contests, recruitment), and a host of other contents on technology, health and fitness, etc.
- Documentation and much more detailed coverage of news, trends, and events.
- Amplification of our audience and outreach
- More exposition on legal matters with summarized bits
- Rebranding and reshaping the campus media
Flowing from this, it is important to emphasize the fact that the blog's creation is to further reflect the commitments and goals both the past and current administrations of Legal Kekenke have toward ensuring erudition of the highest standard and the collaborative production of knowledge from the media team and the public—within and outside the faculty of law.
We remain grateful for the unwavering and utmost support of our readers, whose consistent engagement and feedback have been instrumental in forming this new adventure. Also, we look forward to sharing our platform with you and equally invite you as our revered guests on this fascinating journey of intellectual discovery and exploration.
Thank You!
