After the successful completion of the legal writing bootcamp organized by the Law Students' Society of Joseph Ayo Babalola University to enhance the writing skills of our participants. We are excited to announce the BARRISTER BANJO AYENAKIN ESSAY COMPETITION in commemoration of the training. The competition is open to all students.
This competition aims to reinforce the importance of effective legal writing in the legal profession and provide a platform for students to showcase their legal writing abilities and creativity.
Students are implored to participate in this competition and make judicious use of this opportunity by writing and submitting their entries on the topic:
"THE ROLE OF THE JUDICIARY IN UPHOLDING DEMOCRATIC VALUES AND PRINCIPLES IN NIGERIA"

The prizes for the essay competition are:
First Prize: 40,000
Second Prize: 30,000
Third Prize: 20,000
Submission Guidelines
- The essay must be written in English
- Entries must be between 1000-1500 words (bibliography and reference are excluded)
- Students should submit a scanned copy of their school ID or any other form of ID
- Entries should be submitted in word and pdf format
- Entries should be prepared In font 12 Times New Roman with Double line spacing
- Plagiarism will result to automatic disqualification
- Submission received after the deadline will not be considered
- The cover page (first page) of the document should include: Name, School, Level, Email Address and Phone number
