Full Report and Result Of The AAUA Student Union Government Election

 

The Students Union General election held today in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.

  The number of Eligible voters for the election was 1,860 students which left majority of the students disenfranchised due to the decision of the Student Union Electoral Commitee (SUEC) to make use of the payment of school fees for the 2022/2023 session as a criteria for voting. The election started around 9:30am and witnessed a low turnout of students  at the beginning.

    The whole school was suprisingly full of supporters of candidates who were convincing people to vote for their choice candidates despite the low turnout of voters. 

      At 2:30pm while the voting process was going on, a rumor that students who paid last sessions’s school fees could vote went round and this led to sparks of a protest once the SUEC Chairman debunked the rumor. 

  The election went on peacefully and ended at 3:35 with the following results:

Rotimi Temitope( TEMMIEROSE): 683 votes

Ojo Oluwatosin Isaac(APOSTLE): 657 votes 

FINANCIAL SECRETARY

Taiwo Abraham Damilare(CAPACITY): 644 votes

PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Ogundaisi Samuel Olatunbosun(P.SAM): 655 votes

Ajiki Joseph Adebowale (DEBO): 623 votes

WELFARE DIRECTOR

Omole Ariyo Adekunle( OMOLE): 609 votes
