Our Face Of The Week for this week is in the person of Olalekan O. Olaniyi, a 500 level law student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, and he is popularly known as "Levkins". He currently holds the position of the Speaker of the Law Students Representative Council; a legislative arm of the Law Students' Society, AAUA.
In this short interview, Olalekan reveals his areas of interest, personal goals and ambition that motivated his decision to pursue Law as a second course of study.

LK: Personally I'm aware of the fact that you had majored in one course of study prior to coming back to study Law, what could you say informed that decision of yours ?
FOTW: Yes, I had initially completed a degree in English Studies. Set goals and personal ambition informed my decision to pursue another degree in Law.
LK: So, how has Law been treating you ?
FOTW: Fairly. There are times that it gets tough and can be so draining. However, on general note, I still think it’s fair.
LK: Yepp. Law could get really tough, so what would you say is that motivation that keeps you going?
FOTW: I didn’t come this far to get stranded halfway. That’s my drive always.
LK: Hobbies?
FOTW: Music
LK: Any role model? (Law and outside of Law)
FOTW: In the legal profession, I love Afe Babalola’s style—and outside of it, Femi Otedola’s style is an absolute interest for me. They are my role models.
LK: Do you intend practicing? and what area of law do you have an interest in.
FOTW: Yes, I intend to practice. I have a thing for the corporate practice but I’ve also opened my mind to the possibilities of diverse opportunities. As much as I love corporate practices, if litigation calls, I’ll be open to answer. I have no specific area in mind yet, but I’m moving to wherever the bag is.
LK: As the speaker of the LSRC, what do you think we could really get to see from your tenure this session ?
FOTW:The role of the LSRC is unlike the SEC. The LSRC for instance cannot embark on capital projects or install physical infrastructure because our duty is clearly stated and, it's not that.
So, under my administration as Speaker, I can guarantee you a working LSRC that won’t slack on any of its constitutional responsibilities. In addition, we are looking into updating our laws and codifying laws that should be enacted independent of the LSS Constitution. We hope on virtual lectures too and lastly, the introduction of constituency projects for various constituencies.
