Over the past four days, the law freshmen have been the subject of attention in the faculty during their Fresher's Week. The week featured a lot of interesting activities and experiences that are undoubtedly engraved in their memories.
Giving a quick recap of the events on each day of the freshers' week:
—On Monday, the freshmen received valuable insights from experienced individuals, lecturers and were given a comprehensive school tour to the Senate Building and the Security Unit.
—Tuesday, they witnessed an engaging legal analysis session through the moot competition that was held at the Moot Court.
—Wednesday, was specially dedicated to the Fresher's Picnic; a fun-filled event aimed at fostering a sense of camaraderie among the freshmen.
—Thursday, featured an exciting novelty football match between the Staylites and the Freshers, followed by a relaxing movie night.
And on Friday, May 19, 2023, was the grand finale to wrap up the astounding Freshers' Week!
On that exact day, the day started off brimming with numerous engaging activities and captivating experiences. Although there was a major hitch regarding logistics, after a few hours, the buses hit the road on their way to Owo to visit the High Court of Justice. There, the students were greeted by different individuals. Most notable was the Head Register; Mrs. Akinola. Her colleagues were also present to give them the nitty-gritty of the justice system.

Once that was said and done, the buses, filled with students, were driven to the largest palace not only in Nigeria but in Africa, namely the Olowo of Owo's palace, Aghọfẹn Ọlọghọ—a place dubbed a national monument by the federal government of Nigeria.
The students took in the scene and were shown to the museum opposite the palace. There, a lot of discoveries were made. Archeological excavations, musical instruments of the Owo people, helmets, masks, and hunting devices were just a few things seen in the museum. At the end of the guide's tour in the museum, they all assembled at the king's courtyard to see the king with the biggest palace in Africa.
Fortunately, they met the Oba, and he spoke to them, as he is also a lawyer. He advised them to read and concentrate. He spoke with charisma and attracted attention. The Olowo of Owo then took pictures with the students and the executives.

And for the grand event of the freshers' week—"The Fresher's Night Party". The venue was the Chancery Hotel, Owo, and just from the gate, students were already mystified. As soon as the buses stopped and students got out, taking pictures began until they had to change into their party attire.

The array of colours was mind-blowing, from blacks to whites, blues, and all. Everyone soon got settled, and performers began their comedies and musical performances. The likes of Don Classic got the whole place vibing.
The Mr. and Mrs. Fresher was another highlight of the night, as they strutted and bounced in front of the judges. The DJ got people dancing even as their food and drinks were shared.

Due to time constraints, the pageantry was rushed and the winners announced. The newly crowned Miss Fresher was none other than Arafat. Mr. Fresher was Twinkle. The freshmen couldn't do much soon after, as they had to get to school. So, as soon as the results were out, they started to pile into the buses and begin the journey to school.
Undoubtedly, the night party constituted a splendid culmination of an exceptional week while equally serving as a modest inauguration for the executives to exhibit their capabilities and meet expectations as they embark upon a challenging expedition for this incipient administration.
