LSRC V. PRESIDENT: THE REPRESENTING COUNSELS FOR THE PRESIDENT FILES A MEMORANDUM OF APPEARANCE FOR TOMORROW'S COURT PROCEEDING
In lieu of the appearance at the University's Students' Judicial Council for the case between Law Students' Representative Council v. President of LSS and anor slated for hearing tomorrow by 2:00 PM, Legal Kekenke reports that the representing counsels for the President files a memorandum of appearance today for their appearances in court tomorrow.
However, as duly informed about the process, the filing couldn't be completed today due to some exigencies. Nevertheless, it has been acknowledged that more efforts will be afforded to finalise the process before the court proceedings commences tomorrow.
Amidst this, the Attorney General of the Law Students Society reaffirms with an intrepid tone, the stance and position of the team regarding the case, expressing the following:
"Tell the world that the defendant is ready. By God's grace, justice will prevail. LSSITES will understand that we're fighting a just course."
"I advise everyone should be around tommorow to witness the proceedings. Our conscience is the first law, though, unwritten, before the existence of laws on paper. It's sad that some persons are hell bent not to be contained within their territory of just conscience, and the written law", he says.
There's also a report that the Students Judicial Council (SJC) issued a contempt summons to the President, the Attorney General and all others who violated their injunction.
As the impending day of the proceedings approaches, numerous critical matters await resolution and rectification before the Students' Judicial Council. The mounting pressure intensifies the anticipation to ascertain the direction in which the scales of justice will ultimately lean.
