Interview

LK: Your name, organizations you're a part of and positions held considering how big you are in the LAWSAN community.

FOTW: I'm Adetomiwa Fowowe. I belong and hold positions in some organizations that include: President of Intellectual Property Law Club, Adekunle Ajasin University Senator, Students' Representative Council Adekunle Ajasin University, Deputy Presiding Don of The Legal Temple.

Past ones include: National Assistant Secretary General of Law Students' Association of Nigeria and Public Relations Officer of Law Students' Society, Adekunle Ajasin University

LK: What really informed your decision to tow the path of the study of law and would you say it has been a worthwhile decision or it's just I want to make mama proud at the moment ?

FOTW: I've always been inclined to the study and practice of law since I was in my considerable formative years. Of course, not after deciding I wanted to be a footballer, Doctor, Pilot and Lawyer at the same time when I was much younger. I guess my almost-inexplicable passion and earnest pursuit for nation building sponsored my decision to study law. I must confess, too, that it has indeed been the best decision.

LK: How has Law been treating you?

FOTW: My experience thus far—as an undergraduate—has been considerably fair. I have been able to gather knowledge and experience that has undoubtedly strengthened my passion for the legal profession. Fair, to say the least.

LK: Describe GCFR away from that law student that we know.

FOTW:  I'm not sure I'm in the best position to describe GCFR. I believe it's best examined through the lens of a third party. Whatever I might say will be purely make-believe.

LK: Your hobbies?

FOTW:  Intellectual conversations (I promise you, I'm not a nerd); Beautiful music; Evening Strolls; Movies; and some yet undiscovered.

LK: Role models inside and outside of law.

FOTW: Obafemi Awolowo, Dr. Myles Munroe, Martin Luther King Jr., Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, King David (in the Bible).

LK: Do you intend practicing and what area of law do you have an interest in?

FOTW:  Yes, I intend practicing. Some of my areas of interest are: Criminal Litigation, Election Petition, Human Rights, Arbitration, Corporate Governance, and International Humanitarian Law.

LK: Law could get tough really, so what would you say is that motivation that keeps you going?

FOTW: Love; in this context, can be equated to passion. You're right when you say law can get tough, but love and passion will keep you going any day anytime. I've always maintained that our passion should be our profession.

LK: We've seen your exploits in  politics in the academic stratosphere, could we actually get to see GCFR on the big stages of Nigerian politics in the nearest future?

FOTW: The will of God shall prevail. Amen

LK: What’s your relationship status ? That girl you so much look up to in LSS?

FOTW: Single, but I get spiritual backing. Jesus is Lord.
