Our "Face of the Week" is Omowunmi Temitope, the Vice-President of Law Students' Society, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko. She is also politically known as 'Enny'.
Interview
LK: A pleasure to meet you. When you are not busy with your presidential duties, what other activities do you love engaging yourself in?
FOTW: I love surfing the internet and cooking
LK: Have you always had interest in politics and how has it changed your perspectives on things?
FOTW: I've been a fan of politics from afar, predicting how and how things should not be in my head. Politics has really made me understand the statement "it is easier said than done".
I have also come to understand that everything I analyse in my head, the real deal is bringing it into reality, because at the end of it all what actually matters is not what is in one's head.
LK: I'm sure the post you hold 6has not been easy having to combine it with your studies. What has been your source of motivation?
FOTW: My source of motivation has definitely been my family, the future I desire.
LK: What made you interested in studying law?
FOTW: The very thing that spurred my interest was the fact that I'll get to defend people in court, especially whenever I saw how they did it in movies.
LK: That is amazing. Hope you haven't had regrets so far?— seeing how it is far from how they portray it in the movies
FOTW: I have had no regret so far. I've only had times I wished it wasn't so stressful.
LK: Any word of encouragement for your junior colleagues?
FOTW: No other word than the words I encourage myself with when I'm on the verge of giving up. "Whatever is worth doing at all, is worth doing well".
LK: Thank you very much, I really enjoyed this Session.
FOTW: You are welcome.
