Interview

LK: Describe the gap et away from that law student that we know?

FOTW: Outside law, I'm a teacher, a web developer and a business person. I own a branding agency. I also love sports.

LK: What made you choose law as a course of study?

FOTW: I chose Law because in every ramification of life, I want the best. Also, I was inspired by the human rights lawyer, Chief Gani Fawehinmi.

LK: Any regrets about being a law student?

FOTW: So far, I've had no regrets because I'm enjoying every bit of the course as it exposes me to more knowledge every time.

LK : How did you effectively manage the demands and pressures of your positions while also balancing your academic workload and classes?

FOTW: Hmmn, that's a whole lot. Balancing it requires a whole lot of sacrifices, and setting priorities depending on time and situation I find myself. I learnt time management which is an important factor while managing the workload because if you don't do so, you'll fall off in terms of CGPA. I learnt it the hard way although it paid off.

My academics being the primary purpose of my existence here has been top of my priorities while other things follow. Also, learning how to properly delegate duties is another thing because handling business, school and positions is not something you can do alone. I learnt to delegate delegable duties to competent people who will carry out the duties as if I was the one doing so.

Lastly, the God factor, God has been the one handling the whole thing. Everything becomes easy when you leave things in his care.

LK : Any motivation that has been keeping you in place?

FOTW: My Grandparent has been my greatest motivation. Another motivation is the quest for knowledge, wealth and professionalism.

 LK: What are your hobbies?

FOTW: Football, Tech, reading and making impact.

LK: Any role models inside and outside of law?

FOTW: My role model in the Tech world is Abolade Greatness, and I have decided not to have in Law till I graduate.

 LK: Advice for junior colleagues?

FOTW: My advice for junior colleagues is that they should be hardworking and venture into other activities. It aids development, by not just restricting themselves to classrooms alone. A good example of this is the chamber system where the practical aspect of law is being treated. Everyone cannot contest or occupy a position. I'll round it up with the popular saying which says "anything worth doing is worth doing well and anything that deserves your best should not get less".

LK: Relationship status?

FOTW : Dating.
