About The Competition

The Prada Uzodimma National Maritime Essay Competition is a prestigious competition open to all law students in Nigeria. This competition is organized by the Law Students’ Society of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). It serves as a platform for aspiring legal minds to showcase their expertise in maritime law and related fields.

Participants in the competition are tasked with crafting compelling essays on topics relevant to the maritime industry, covering the area of Maritime Law. The involvement of the Nigerian Navy and Air force in securing Nigeria’s Territorial waters

Submission Guidelines 

• Must be a Law student in a Nigerian University
• Write a 1000-word essay on "The involvement of the Nigerian navy and Air force in securing Nigeria's Territorial waters." 
• (Applicants are advised not to exceed 1000 words (Endnotes do not count). 
• Applicants are advised not to write their names on their entry as they will be allotted a unique registration number.
• Submit your entry via the Law Students' Society, OAU's website, Entries must be in English language. www.ifelaw.org.
• Plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification.
• Winners would be requested to send a proof of identification to claim their prize.

Format: MS Word Format. Times New Roman, 12pt font size, double spaced.
