The Orions Cement Legacy with Another Dean's Cup Final Triumph!

The Final Match of The Dean's Cup was slated to hold on Wednesday, 12th of October, 2023. The match started exactly at exactly 11:51am with both the teams from the opposite sides; LLB 3 and LLB 5, having a final face-off before the wrap up of the event.

It is quite interesting to trail the timeline of this annual event, that a win from the ultimate team would have them clenching their fourth final wins in the Dean's Cup.

The match started with LLB 5 firmly in control of the game with LLB 3 defending resolutely and their strikers having to feed on scraps. LLB 3 goalkeeper also pulled a lot of incredible saves to keep his team in the game despite an header from Lekuse and a shot from Olipsy. On the other end, Pelumi rarely got a chance to shoot and had to feed on scraps to get going.

The match continued until the 36th minute where LLB 5 led as a result of a very controversial header by Mayor as LLB 3 contested that it was cleared off the line with series of videos to prove it. The referee however refused to check the videos claiming it was not a part of the rules. This actions plus the supposed explanation of the "net having shock" infuriated the LLB 3 students who took off the pitch protesting against the alleged injustice. After series of verbal clashes, both teams later took to the pitch with the goal standing.

LLB 3 then put up a resolute battle with chances coming from a free kick from Messi jnr, a missed header from Hizreal and shots from Pelumi and Jomax. On the other end, Kelvin and Forbes held up the line well with plenty saving a Danny flair shot that was goal bound.

The match however ended 1-0 in favor of the Orion's, a bash on the LLB 3 who gave their all to toss the dice of the game in their favour but were further thrown into dismay, with victorious chants from LLB 5 who ruled the field once again, and for the LAST TIME!

It's such regal way to bow out from the competition, and the faculty as the Orions' presence left a lasting impression on the spectators...
