Legal Kekenke’s face of the week is Atiba Favour, a 200level Law student of the Faculty of Law, AAUA.
LK: What is your name? And can you tell us more about you?
FOTW: I am Favour Abimbola Atiba by name.
My hobby is reading, novels precisely or anything interesting
LK: Is there any area of law you’re interested in?
FOTW: Yes, that’s family law. Well,it took me a while to choose this.
Family law is the law regulating things that has to do with the family like marriage, divorce and so on. Also I think it deals with making children know their rights and their treatment.
LK: What motivates you to study law?
FOTW: I was motivated by the successful lawyers I've come across, they are always honoured and well respected but then choosing family law is as a result of some children I've seen that are being maltreated but don't know their rights
LK: Three things you can’t live without
FOTW: I'll say my parents,God and water
LK: do you have any advice for upcoming law students?
FOTW: My advice for them is that they should not let anyone discourage or confuse them on their choice of study and they should always set their mind on what they've chosen to do. Also, they should always carry God along in everything they do.
LK: Thanks for your time.
FOTW: You’re welcome.
LK…making a statemeant.
