Barrister Tosin Akinyemi is a Nigerian lawyer who specializes in sports Law.
In 2015, after obtaining a law degree in Nigeria and being admitted to the Nigerian bar as a Barrister and Solicitor, he embarked on a career in law. With a growing interest in sports law and regulations, he transitioned from general law practice to specialize in this field. In 2017, leveraging their expertise and passion, he founded 'Sportlicitors,' a prominent sports law firm in Nigeria.
Since His admission to the bar, he has provided legal services to a diverse clientele, exceeding 70 clients. His practice involves offering legal advice and representation before FIFA, domestic tribunals, and civil courts. He is particularly adept at advising sports clubs and players on compliance with regulations, managing disciplinary issues such as anti-doping cases, and navigating complex areas like sports marketing, torts in sports, and intellectual property rights.
Throughout his career, he has provided extensive legal services, particularly in areas involving sporting and commercial contracts. His client roster includes prestigious names such as FIFPRO, along with individuals like Oghenekaro Etebo, Uchechi Lopez, Godbless Asamoah, Adama Coulibally, and Gbagada FC.
In 2022, he attained a Masters degree in Sports Law from Nottingham Trent University, further enhancing his expertise in the field. He currently holds a position with Routes One Sports Management in the UK, serving as a FIFA-licensed and FA-registered Agent.
Outside of his legal practice, he enjoys indulging in his passions for music, watching football matches, and actively engaging in community service initiatives.
