DID YOU KNOW THAT ETHOPIA AND LIBERIA ARE THE ONLY TWO AFRICAN COUNTRIES TO HAVE NEVER BEEN COLONIZED?

Colonization is the process of establishing a new settlement or territory by a group of people from another country or region, often with the intention of exploiting the resources and labor of the colonized area.

Africa has a complex history marked by a long period of colonization by European powers in the 19th and early 20th centuries. European countries imposed their authority over African countries exploiting their resources and subjugating their people.

However, Ethiopia and Liberia are often cited as the only two African countries that were not colonized by European powers. Ethiopia successfully resisted colonization through military might and strategic diplomacy. It was officially recognized as an independent state in 1896 after its victory over Italian forces at the Battle of Adwa.

Liberia establishment by Americans and the perception of Liberia as a legitimate player on the world stage helped prevent European colonization.

Today, Ethopia and Liberia remains a symbol of Africa independence and resistance to colonial rule.
